LAPTOP CHARGER SOCKET REPAIR
Symptoms
Power jack broken, laptop not charging.
Troubleshooting
Test output voltages from charger with multimeter.
Solution
Remove motherboard and replace power jack.
Precautions
Unplug from mains and remove battery during disassembly and assembly. Store hard drive in a safe secured place as it is shock sensitive.
Tools required
Torque screwdriver, Philips screwdriver, plastic prying tool, container to keep screws etc, soldering iron, solder, multimeter, well lit and comfortable antistatic workspace.
