PS3 SLIM NOT READING DISK LASER REPLACEMENT
Symptoms
Not reading any disks.
Troubleshooting
Make sure disk itself is not damaged. Check that laser is not dirty.
Solution
Replace laser.
Precautions
Must be unplugged from mains during disassembly and assembly. Make sure you order the correct part number, as the PS3 slim uses more than one model of laser. Within the optical drive, do not interfere with the eject mechanisms, before re-assembly; make sure the centre CD magnet is seated correctly.
Tools required
Philips screwdriver, flat screwdriver, container to keep screws etc, well lit and comfortable antistatic workspace.
